Basement Renovation: Custom Stone Work

Posted by | Uncategorized | No Comments

Super Custom Basement Bar

Do you really like the look and texture of natural stone? We can take it one step further with hand-carved custom stone work!

This is the second basement finishing project featured at our 2014 Fall Open House. We started from scratch with an empty, unfinished basement in West Henrietta, NY. We transformed the space from an empty, lifeless basement to a rustic, personalized custom bar worth spending time in.

This basement had so many special features, but the best was the 110-year-old reclaimed barn wood that the client asked us to incorporate into the bar and throughout the rest of the basement.

A Huge Thank You!

THANK YOU to everyone who joined Creative Spaces of Rochester for our very first Upstate New York open house!

rochester-basement-bar-remodel-storage-under-stairsSorry that it’s taken so long to post. We’ve been renovating basements in Henrietta!

For our 2014 Fall Open House, we featured two very different side-by-side basements in the Berkshire Park neighborhood of West Henrietta, New York. This first one was a custom basement bar with a blue-and-black color scheme, custom stonework, and a unique use of lighting.

We started with an unfinished basement that had a plain concrete floor. We opened up the stairwell wall, rebuilt the basement steps, and added storage space under the stairs. Blue accent walls and a black door were added to incorporate some subtle color into the space. We built in a whole new kitchen, including the custom stone tile wall that lines the bar. Finishing touches included a new wall-mounted fireplace, blue lights under the bar, and glass inlays to give character to the silver-flecked black quartz custom countertops. Take a look at the details below!
